’77 Hawk Profile

Judy Medvick Granata

Okay, since we graduated, I was married to David Hageman for 22 years.  I was engaged to him during our senior year.  We had three daughters, Beth, Heather & Allison who are now 27, 24 and 21 as of the 24th of July this year.  Thru a job transfer, we ended up in the Houston, Texas area.  Unfortunately, we were divorced in 1999.  I remarried in 2000 to Gary Granata and now have an "empty nest" living in Spring, just next to The Woodlands, Texas.  I have a 4-year old granddaughter, Madison.  Being a grandparent is the BEST thing since sliced bread, as they say.

I finally finished my Associate of Science degree in 2003 (only took 26 years!) and am now pursuing my Bachelor of Science, expecting to graduate in December :)(only 2 more classes to take this fall after the summer course I am now taking).  I work at the community college district office here in the distance learning department.  I LOVE distance learning.  I started with correspondence courses from DBCC while still living in the area.  I finished my AS degree here with over a dozen online classes and have taken a couple from the
University of Houston Downtown as well.

I am active in our church, playing the piano when needed.  I am open to whatever the Lord wants me to do there to help.  I played at our old church for years ever since playing at our church in Holly Hill as a teenager.  Horses are still my favorite hobby.  I have my gelding that we moved here from
Florida in 1991 with us - "Applejack"."  I had to leave his mother behind in Samsula. I ride at least twice a week.

One of my other hobbies is dancing.  My husband was a Country & Western dance teacher.  We like to go out dancing at least once a week.  It's a lot of fun and good exercise.
