’77 Hawk Profile

I attended college at a small school in north east Georgia called Toccoa Falls College. I was there for two years and then left school for a little more than a year to play the drums and vocals for several different musical groups. In 1980 I came back to Daytona and worked at the El Carribe motel on the beach side for about a year. Mary (Seale – class of 79) and I had our first date on Christmas night in 1980. In 1982 we decided to go back to school and we were married in 1983. We graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 1985 with Communication degrees.

Mary and I moved back to Daytona in 1986. I ended up landing a job at Halifax Medical Center in November of that same year and I just celebrated my 20th year at Halifax. I’m currently a senior systems administrator with the Information Technology department. I still play the drums and sing on Sunday mornings for Christ Community church’s worship team. We started attending Christ Community about the same time I started working at HMC. By the time I hope to see many of you at the reunion Mary and I will have been married for 24 years. Our only son, Andrew, is now a freshman at, yes it’s weird, Spruce Creek High School. We live about 1.5 miles west of 95 off of Taylor Road in Port Orange. It must be said that I consider myself a very fortunate individual. God has truly blessed me over the last 30 years with a beautiful wife and a strapping young man for a son, a great job and a home where all are welcome.

I look forward to catching up with you all very soon,

Sincerely,

Bud, Mary & Andrew
